Day 3 — Gospel of John Journey

A New Beginning from Within

“Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” — John 3:3 (NIV)

Nicodemus was a religious man, a teacher who understood Scripture. Yet when he came to Jesus, he realized something was missing. Jesus spoke to him about a truth that goes beyond knowledge, background, or effort — the need to be born again.

He explained that entering God’s kingdom is not about becoming more religious or trying harder. It is about receiving new life from God. This new birth happens when the Spirit of God awakens our hearts and leads us to believe in Jesus.

To be “born of water and the Spirit” means being cleansed and made new — not from the outside, but from within. It is God’s work in us, restoring what was broken and giving us a fresh beginning.

Then Jesus spoke words that have brought hope to millions:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16 (NIV)

This is the heart of the gospel. God’s love moved toward us first. He sent Jesus not to condemn the world, but to rescue it. And everyone who believes in Him receives new life — life that begins now and continues forever.

If your heart has been searching, wondering, or longing for something more, this is the invitation: believe in Jesus. Not just know about Him but trust Him. Receive Him. Let Him make you new.

A new beginning is possible — not by striving, but by believing.

Memory Verse

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16 (NIV)

Prayer

Our Father who is in heaven, thank You for loving the whole world and offering us new life. Help me to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ with my whole heart and receive the new beginning You promise. Make me new from within and lead me into the life You have prepared for me. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
